Aims of the Diploma

The qualification aims to:

Assessment and Regulations


Assessment Approach
Each module is assessed through written assignments, case studies, and practical applications:

  • Written Assignments: Evaluate comprehension and application of legal theories in each core unit.

  • Case Study Analysis: Requires application of legal principles to specific legal scenarios and real-world situations.

  • Project-Based Assessments: Practical tasks involving legal research, analysis, and the application of law to hypothetical cases.


Grading System
Grades are awarded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction:

  • Pass: 40%-59%

  • Merit: 60%-69%

  • Distinction: 70% and above


Completion Requirements
All units require a minimum pass mark of 40%. Assessments are internally marked and externally moderated by ATHE to ensure consistency and quality.
